The training manual presents the engines general characteristics of household appliances. General principles of mathematical description are considered and mathematical models of various types of single phase induction motors are provides. The operating principle and mathematical models of direct (DC) and alternating current (AC) collector motors as well as contactless direct current motors are considered. The results of computer simulation are presented.

The manual is intended for students of the specialty 7 (8):05070206 «Household appliances» of the basic direction 6.050702 «Electromechanics».
